A living decision record

What to know before you begin.

Is this another career assessment?

No. Clarity Dojo begins with a question the student actually has and helps the student investigate it.

Why can't students just use ChatGPT or Google?

AI and search can describe a career. Clarity Dojo structures the investigation, separates online information from firsthand evidence, guides real-world action, and preserves the student's evidence and progress.

Does it replace counselors?

No. It gives students a process between staff interactions and helps staff identify where their judgment and support are most useful.

Does Clarity Dojo match students with unknown adults?

No. Clarity Dojo is not an open mentoring marketplace. It helps students identify appropriate people to learn from and prepare for informational conversations. Institutions can apply their own rules for approved contacts, parent involvement, supervision, or existing professional networks.

What about AI accuracy?

The process is built around testing information rather than treating an AI response as the final answer. Students should verify sources, question claims, and compare online information with firsthand evidence. Staff judgment remains important.

What about student privacy and FERPA?
Privacy and student data are part of implementation planning.

Clarity Dojo's Privacy Policy explains baseline data practices, including student information, staff access, AI processing, sharing, retention, and deletion. Use of Clarity Dojo does not automatically make an institution FERPA compliant.

Before a pilot, institutions can review any additional data privacy agreement, security, consent, retention, procurement, or policy requirements that apply to their students.
